This is a unique property in the middle of Alentejo, near the border with Spain, set in a land of 57 hectares.
This Convent was founded in 1407, and the current main buildings were built at the end of the 16th century, having undergone some decorative changes in the 18th century, from which the chapels tiles date. The Convent was extinguished in 1834, having been, however, preserved in very good condition and with few changes compared to the original structure.
The two main buildings have an approximate area of 3,700 sqm of gross area, distributed in three contiguous plots. The Convent has an area of 2,690 sqm, and there are other buildings for housing and warehouses with an area of approximately 1,030 sqm.
The Convent building, which is related to several episodes of Portugals history, and distributed over three floors, includes a two-storey cloister topped by balustrade, a beautiful chapel rich in decorative details, a choir room and a sacristy, among many other divisions, as rooms, living rooms and storage, and two pleasant terraces.
This property presents a high agricultural potential, on the one hand, being surrounded by vineyards, but also an interesting tourist potential, by the architectural and historical characteristics that characterize it.
